The Strongbox
Your work is yours. We built it that way.
No one steals an unknown manuscript — but you shouldn't have to take our word for
it. Here's exactly how we handle your pages, in plain language.
True today
- We store nothing. When you run a tool, your pages are sent securely to our
AI provider to produce your result, then discarded. Your manuscript never
lives on our servers — we keep only run metadata (token counts, cost) for billing.
- We never train AI on your work. Ever. Your text is processed for your run
and is not used to train or improve any model.
- You keep every right. You own your manuscript and everything you generate.
We claim no ownership and take no license beyond what's needed to run your request.
- The key stays server-side. The AI key is never in your browser; tools run
through our metered backend, with a hard cap on every run.
Coming as we grow
- Bring your own Drive. Coming Read your book
straight from your Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive — processed, never copied to us.
- Critique you control. Coming When critique opens,
no one browses your work. You hand a specific reader a specific chapter — time-limited and
revocable — never a public library.
- A visible access log. Coming When sharing
launches, you'll see exactly who can see what, and revoke access anytime.
Protecting your publishing rights
Many markets reject "previously published" work, and public posting can count as publication.
Member prose is built to stay private; you decide what you share. We'll always tell you when
something would be public. See the Terms and Privacy
Policy for the full detail.
